Frequently Asked Questions

1 – Who and what is ZorgInfoFilms.nl (ZIF)?

ZIF (Healthcare Info Films) was created to provide high quality education and information films about healthcare, to translate, to initiate and to continue making them. ZIF focuses and is committed mainly for various (multi-) cultural groups living in the Netherlands, without excluding the local culture’s own.

2 – How is ZorgInfoFilms.nl (ZIF) organized?

ZIF consists of a production company (Wave Video and Multimedia) who has for the past 14 years provided divers of multicultural healthcare movies, and a number of affiliated volunteers and experts of diverse cultures from the community who in the past have also contributed to several produced multicultural films. Also, Mrs. Mouna Azizddine-Taoujni, widow of the late and respected Mr. Najib Taoujni and caretaker of many healthcare information films, approves and supports the idea and concept of ZIF.Furthermore, ZIF gets it’s advice and the necessary (not financial) support of such authorities as ‘ “Clientenbelang Amsterdam” and various funds and foundations of patients and health organizations.

3 – What kind of healthcare movies will come on ZorgInfoFilms.nl (ZIF)?

In the beginning ZIF will focus on translations and voice-overs of existing Dutch healthcare films. The ultimately goal should be to make healthcare films in the own multi culture languages, either combined and/or alone. In the near future the choice of films of healthcare that ZIF can provide and translate, depends on the willingness, cooperation and supply of already existing healthcare films of the already made films of the various funds and foundations and institutions.

4 – Why support movies of ZorgInfoFilms.nl (ZIF)?

With your support of ZIF we can provide each community through a “contribution of their own” in their own needs of healthcare and information films and in their own language. The demand for such healthcare information films still remains, but because of the lack of financial support such as state subsidies from before 2009, the creation and/or translation of multicultural healthcare films became almost nil. Doctors, hospitals, foundations and funds in various health care disciplines, make it more and more known that they have the high need to achieve and explain to the above mentioned communities about healthcare issues, so that the gap, prevention, care, interpretation and understanding of and towards each other becomes better and more efficient. Supporting the film projects of ZIF creates and provides this very important need.

5 – How long is an intended healthcare movie on stay for donation support on the website?

An intended to make and/or translate healthcare movie will stay up to 3 months on the website for donation support. ZIF will only put a trailer on the website of the intended to make and/or translate healthcare movie. Below the trailer is a little written explanation about the healthcare film in the various languages and also an explanation in Dutch. When the intended donation amount for a language is a achieved within the three months, ZIF will go on to make it. The languages which have not achieved the intended donation amount, unfortunately get no translations. After three months ZIF will put another healthcare film of another issue which is also again intended for translation and so on.

6 – Why are there different languages pages?

There are a total of 12 languages on the ZIF website. These are  also the languages of the largest multicultural communities who need translations and can make movies in their own languages and where ZIF and the patient organizations think they can obtain the highest range of interest and success. The Dutch language is by right not a language that needs translation but is the basic language from which all provisionally healthcare films will come. Since we all live in the Netherlands and are part of the Dutch society all explanations in the other 11 languages are combined with a Dutch explanation. Such as we reach a wide range for understanding, cooperation, participation and donations with and from each other and hopefully this becomes larger and wider.

7 – How do I become a donator?

By clicking on the “Donate for this movie” button and continuing to follow and fill in the information required for donating, and then donating, one becomes a donator.

8 – What happens with my money?

Your donations will be used to make the targeted healthcare films for which you have donated, to translate and add a voice-over on the intended healthcare film in one’s own language. But a small amount of your donations is also a part for the funding and maintaining the costs of ZIF, such as server, telephone, website, management, salaries, travel expenses, promotional, acquisition costs etc. etc. The intention of ZIF is therefore that the work, the translations and the voice-overs will be done by affordable people of the own culture and language. ZIF thus creates in-direct(ly) jobs and work in the diverse multicultural communities.

9 – Can I recover my donation?

Be very picky and wise in your donation. Unfortunately, and to cut red tape and costs, your donation can not be recovered. But if a language does not make it in the 3 months in the amount required for translating/creating a healthcare film, you will be offered to re-donate the already donated amount for the following making of a healthcare film or to redeposit the amount back to your account. When refunding there will be a € 0.70 deduction from your donation amount for bank and administration costs.

10 – What for compensation does a donor get in return?

There is a compensation table for every healthcare film that is going to be made/translated against the amount donated.Depending on the amount donated, the compensation can be f.e. a DVD of the translated/made healthcare film, or perhaps a combined “thank you” dinner etc. One thing for sure is that your name is placed as a sponsor/donator at the end of each translated/made healthcare film (in the credits).

11 – What if a film does not reach the required care funding through ZIF?

We monitor the progress of donations for each language daily and will through our network, mailings, promotions and meetings do everything that all languages make the necessary targets. But if a language fails to get the desired donation amount than it is unfortunately not translated and/or made. We also ask everyone kindly for their support in using their network to ensure that the healthcare film is created in their own language and ZIF thanks you in advance for that.

12 – What if a film gets the target amount before the deadline?

If the amount necessary to translate/make a healthcare film is reached before the deadline, then ZIF will start directly to make this film. The objective of ZIF is to provide all the healthcare films that have reached the necessary objective donation amount within three (3) months after the closing of the donation period.

13 – How do I know if the creators and performers of ZIF are reliable?

ZIF like everybody is answerable to the law. ZIF has a transparent administration. Wave Video and Multimedia, the founder of ZIF has a renowned 40-year existence behind it. The names of the persons involved in and with ZIF and who are affiliated with ZIF are on the website. Additionally ZIF has a controlling accounting firm affiliated to it that must take balance of each film and place this on the ZIF website within 3 months after finishing the film. ZIF is also affiliated with a reputable bank for monitoring it’s financial affairs.

14 – How will I be kept informed of the progress of a project?

For each language there is a link to a page that is subject to the progress of a project and that is kept and updated 2 weekly until the project is completed and delivered. The intention of ZIF is to afterwards maintain a little history couplet so that one can always trace what has been made by ZIF.

15 – What happens to a healthcare film when it is finished?

Depending on the agreements with the providers of the original healthcare films we check what will be done with a finished film. With the modern techniques of now ZIF seeks that all translated/made healthcare films shall be open and accessible to the public. If that is not reachable or possible insure, then the minimum what ZIF wants to reach in its agreements with the providers of the original healthcare films is to sell/buy the films on dvdees for a very small symbolic amount to the public.

18 – How does a healthcare film come on ZIF?

ZIF is continuously in contact with and healthcare institutions, foundations and funds to obtain healthcare films.Depending naturally on what is offered, the permitted and the agreements and contracts ZIF tries to choose healthcare films according to the identified needs of the diverse multicultural societies. Your suggestion are highly appreciated. This allows us to go after and make the healthcare films where you have the most need for. You can indicate this to us via mail:info@zorginfofilms.nl

19 – How does ZIF select which healthcare films are treated and placed?

ZIF tries through careful assessment through the various patient organizations and the identified needs of the diverse multicultural partnerships to find out what’s currently needed to be translated/made and get that posted. But sometimes the choice of ZIF is also determined only by what ZIF can get and what is offered and who at that time is willing to make agreements and contracts with ZIF.

20 – Are several healthcare films to be placed at the same time?

In the beginning, probably not. People have to get used to the concept of ZIF first, and ZIF should also have the time and opportunity to become a streamlined organization. It is very important that each healthcare film reaches and gets its targeted donation amount. ZIF hopes in the course of the second or third year of its existence to place little by little more movies at once. But if that would be detrimental to the achievement of the objective donation amounts per healthcare film, than that gets reversed back to one movie every 3 months.
